Getting Started

If you would like to discuss a stained glass window designed for your church or home don't hesitate to contact me. The cost of stained glass can be intimidating, and unfortunately there are no good shortcuts in time or materials. Windows are priced per square foot ranging from $450 to $1000 depending on the complexity of the design. The design process begins with your ideas, measurements and template of the opening.

 THE DESIGN PROCESS

• First, we want to learn about your vision.  We'll set a Design Meeting to discuss where your windows will be--the scope, context, timeline and budget of your project.   We'll discuss what the window's about.  Since we're making your story visual, we'll share images and develop a Mood Board to help communicate your vision with the appropriate symbol, story, and style.  Our goal is to give you tools to share your vision with the church and in a capital campaign.

• Second, we want to give you tools to share your vision with the church  and good numbers for planning a capital campaign.  The cost of the window depends on size, complexity, and materials.  Once we have reliable measurements and an understanding of scope, we'll submit a proposed contract.       

   

• Third, with a deposit and signed contract (either for design or for design and fabrication), we'll begin drawing your design.  The first design will be a concept in black and white that will give opportunity for your review and revision. Once approved, we'll move into color, with again the opportunity for review.   Once you've approved this design with a signature, that completes the design process and we'll begin making your window!
